SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

Monday -- Pinnacle Peak Patio
Get ready for our Monday excursion to Pinnacle Peak Patio for an authentic Western barbeque!! Established in 1957, Pinnacle Peak has quite the unique tradition of forbidding its visitors to wear ties – and if you dare … it will be cut off ... literally!! You will see thousands of ties hanging from the ceiling. Visit the History portion of the website at http://www.pinnaclepeakpatio.com and learn how the necktie tradition began.

We have arranged for a most enjoyable and entertaining time with live house music, some truly Western activities, and of course, the renowned mesquite outdoor barbeque dinner that makes Pinnacle Peak so famous.

Begin your adventure with an optional hiking experience up Pinnacle Peak Trail. See the website for a description and magnificent photos of the trail scenery: http://www.arizona-vacation-planner.com/pinnacle-peak-trail.html

After dinner, those who just cannot get enough romp-stompin’ fun can head over to Greasewood Flat for more Western-jammin’.
Visit http://www.greasewoodflat.net/.

Wednesday -- Botanical Gardens
On Wednesday, we will have a guided tour of the Desert Botanical Gardens which displays some of the most fascinating plants and cacti of the world’s deserts, particularly the Sonoran Desert. Visit the Botanical Gardens Website at http://www.dbg.org/. After the tour, we will visit Scottsdale’s famous Fifth Avenue Shops, right in the heart of downtown Scottsdale. Within the area is an assortment of restaurants to choose from for dinner on your own. After dinner, enjoy downtown Scottsdale, visiting one of the many art galleries, night clubs, or shops and boutiques.
